Aliases
An email alias allows you to create several alternative email addresses to point to your main mailbox. For instance, your main mailbox might be contact@yourcompany.com. You could then setup aliases such as info@ and enquiry@ to point to contact@yourcompany.com.

Effective Anti Spam software is used to make sure your inbox is protected from unwanted and unsolicited emails.
Anti Virus Protection
We use high level virus protection to stop viruses, Trojans, worms and other harmful bugs disrupting your hosting service and your email.
ASP, SHTML, ASP.NET
Scripting languages allowing you various options and alternatives when developing forms of interaction on your website i.e. mail forms, database interaction, calendars etc.
Auto Responders
Easyspace Auto responders allow you to set up an automatic response on any of your mailboxes. If you are going to be out of the office or away from your mail, then through mail auto responders, you can setup friendly auto replies letting people know when you will be able to reply.
Backups
We back up your websites every day, so you need never worry that your data will be lost but we always advise our customers to keep a local copy of their website for their own peace of mind.
Bandwidth
Bandwidth determines how many people can actually view you website. The more you have, the more people can view your site successfully at any one time. For basic sites, bandwidth shouldn't be an issue, but the more pictures, PDF's, large web pages etc you include in your site, the more bandwidth will be used.
Catch All
The catch all facility allows you to setup one mail account on your domain that will catch all email sent to anything@yourdomain.com. So, for example, with this setup, any emails sent to info@, enquiry@ or SomethingElse@ your domain, will all be held in the catch all account.
Connection Speed
The connection speed indicates how fast you will be able to transfer information from the internet to your computer. Bps stands for Bits Per Second. So, the faster your connection, the faster you can download data.
Content Filtration

Contention Ratio
The contention ratio indicates the number of people / lines using the same bandwidth i.e. 50:1 ratio means 50 people / lines will use the same bandwidth as you.
Custom Errors Pages
A small but customer friendly alternative to the common "page cannot be found" error that often appears on websites. Our custom error page feature allows you to customise your sites errors pages using your own site template and style.
Domain Management
The domain name system (DNS) is the way that Internet domain names are located and translated into Internet Protocol addresses. A domain name is a meaningful and easy-to-remember "handle" for an Internet address.
Domain Name
All 3 web hosting packages come with a FREE domain name. Our Starter package offers a free .co.uk domain name while our Business and Pro packages offer a free Top Level Domain such as .com, .net, .info and .org.
Email Forwarding
Email forwarding allows you to point emails sent to something@yourdomain.com to a preferred mail account of your choice.
Firewall Protection All our web sites are protected by state of the art corporate firewalls to ensure no damage through malicious attacks to your website
FTP
Simply put, FTP accounts allow you to upload information your web space. Each hosting package comes with one secure FTP account. Your FTP details are given to you upon purchase.
FTP Server
Our Linux dedicated servers come complete with VS FTP, allowing you to upload files, documents etc to your server directories. Our Windows dedicated servers come complete with Microsoft FTP, allowing you to upload files, documents etc to your server directories.
IMAP Mailboxes
An alternative connection for viewing email through your mail client. Rather than downloading mail to your mailbox (POP3), IMAP allows you to connect directly to the email server to view messages.
IP Addresses
Each machine connected to the Internet has an address known as an Internet Protocol address (IP address). All broadband packages are allocated an IP address.
Load Balancing
Load Balancing allows us to spread the traffic load to your site across two or more machines and offers a much higher resilience and resistance to failure.
Mail Backups
The complete email service ensures that your mail is backed up continually so that you need never worry about losing mail. We utilise a fully redundant storage area network.
Management Control Panel
All Easyspace customers, regardless of service, are given their very own management control panel, through which, they can manage everything from service setup and management through to password changes, personal detail changes and service renewals.
Message Quarantine
Through a daily quarantine email, you can quickly view all blocked messages, and decide whether to ignore/deny the message forever or read it safely in quarantine.
Microsoft Access
A database option allowing you to build interactive web sites. Using a database opens up a bundle of new possibilities including building your own mailing list, developing an online catalogue, building a content management system and storing customer / client information.
MS SQL
You can create MSSQL Server databases on your account and have full control of them via the Microsoft Enterprise Manager or ODBC. MSSQL Server is the most powerful database available for the web today and is the solution used by many corporate and financial institutions worldwide.
MX Record Control
Short for mail exchange record, an entry in a domain name database that identifies the mail server that is responsible for handling e-mails for that domain name. When more than one MX record is entered for any single domain name that is using more than one mail server, the MX record can be prioritized with a preference number that indicates the order in which the mail servers should be used. This enables the use of primary and backup mail servers.
MySQL Database
Databasing software allowing you to create and manage databases and tables quickly and easily. Netintelligence Internet Security
A security suite designed to protect you, your networks and those who use your computers. Netintelligence software can monitor and control computer usage, monitor chat / instant message conversations, stop spam and viruses and much more.
Operating System
You have a choice of Linux based or Windows based hosting with all 3 web hosting packages. Both options cost the same but give you slightly different options. For example, Windows based hosting allows you to use ASP, ASP.Net, Access Databases and MSSQL, while Linux allows for PHP, CGI and MySQL.
Operating System - Linux
Our Linux Platform uses the CentOS distribution with Apache Webserver and supports PHP/Perl/Python and MySQL services. Full remote access is provided via Root SSH.
Operating System - Windows
Our Windows platform uses Windows 2003 Web Edition with IIS6 Webserver and supports ASP/ASP.net services. Full remote access is provided to the server via Windows Remote Desktop.
Password Protection
Password protection allows you to choose a directory within your webspace and to lock it down ensuring only authorised users have access to the protected folder
Phishing Protection
Block fraudulent, yet official looking emails designed to deceive you into disclosing your credit card numbers, passwords and other personal and sensitive information.
PHP, CGI, Perl
Scripting languages allowing you various options and alternatives when developing forms of interaction on your website i.e. mail forms, database interaction, calendars etc.
Policy Based Filtering
Policy Based Filtering and Response Options allow you to define your own policies or use the predefined managed policies so that you can decide what your company considers to be spam. The policies can be applied to individual mail accounts, groups or company wide. Using response options you can decide if you want to block, bounce, archive, quarantine, remove attachments, send reports, forward to specified addresses and much more.
POP3 Mailboxes
Online mailboxes to store your mail. You can configure your mail client (outlook etc) to download mail from this mailbox, or you can simply access your mailbox through the Easyspace webmail service.
Primary Hard Drive
This is where information is stored on your server. The larger the capacity, the more you can store. Hard Drive sizes within Easyspace dedicated servers ranges from 80Gb to 160Gb depending which package you buy.
Processor
Also known as the CPU, the processor is one of the most important parts of your server. Easyspace dedicated server processors are supplied by Pentium and range from 2.8GHz to 3.2GHz depending on which package you choose.
RAID Controller
RAID1 creates an exact copy (or mirror) of a set of data on the second hard drive. Not only does this improve read performance but offers redundancy so in the event that one hard drive fails, the other can take over without loss of service.
RAM
Random Access Memory. Used for storing files and programmes temporarily while you are using them. RAM within Easyspace dedicated servers ranges from 512Mb to 2Gb depending which package you buy.
Scripting Languages
Our Linux Dedicated Servers support PHP, Perl and Python. Our Windows Dedicated Servers support ASP.NET and ASP.
Secondary Hard Drive
Both the Business and Pro dedicated servers come with a secondary hard disk installed.
Server Monitoring
All Easyspace Dedicated Servers are monitored 24/7 as standard. As part of this service we monitor the server to ensure there is no hardware or connectivity failure. If we find a failure has occurred, we will notify you and confirm what action we are taking to fix the problem.
Server and Site Monitoring
Easyspace use the most up-to-date remote management tools so we can not only monitor your server, but also monitor your web, email, database and any other services you are hosting that are critical to your business. If we find there is a problem, you will be notified immediately via email of which service is not responding so you can investigate and get your services operational before suffering excessive downtime, essential for a mission-critical business.

Sub Domains
With our Web Hosting services, you have the ability to create unlimited sub-domains. A sub domain is also known as a "third-level" domain, and is a great way to create memorable web addresses for various areas of your site without the cost of new domains. For instance your web address is www.funkyfriends.com, and you created a sub-domain for your friend, Paul. After you set it up, the address would be Paul.funkyfriends.com. This would go to a different area of your site. You can create sub domains for co-workers, family members, or to build separate sub-sites

Our Linux dedicated servers comes installed with the Unix based Apache Webserver software. Our Windows dedicated servers come installed with Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0, a powerful Web server that provides a highly reliable, manageable, and scalable web application infrastructure. Web Space
Web space is the part of your service that determines just how much information you can upload to your web site. Files, documents, images and web pages all come in different shapes and sizes.
